Motus Autoworx, a well-known company in the vehicle repair industry, is looking for honest, trustworthy, and responsible people with experience in flatting (preparing vehicle panels) to join their team in East London. This is a permanent position where you will work at their East London branch. As a Flatter, your main job will be to prepare and finish vehicle panels so they are smooth and ready for painting. You will start by checking the vehicle after the panel beating process to ensure everything is in good condition. If there are any issues, you will report them to your manager before moving forward. Your tasks will include sanding the panels to create a smooth surface, preparing them for primer, and keeping your workspace clean and organized at all times.

To apply for this job, you need to have at least a Grade 12 (Matric) qualification or equivalent. While having 2 years of experience in flatting or similar work is advantageous, it is not required for entry-level candidates. You must also have a valid, unendorsed Code 8 driver’s license, as you may need to drive vehicles as part of your work. Basic computer skills are needed, and you should be able to communicate clearly in English.

This is a full-time, permanent position with job security and growth opportunities. The role is based in a workshop, so you will be exposed to paint fumes and chemicals, but the company will provide all necessary safety gear. Depending on workshop demand, overtime, weekends, or shifts may be required.
