Motus Autoworx, a well-known company in the vehicle repair industry, is looking for honest, trustworthy, and responsible people with experience in flatting (preparing vehicle panels for painting) to join their team in East London. This is a permanent position at their East London branch, where you will play a key role in ensuring vehicles are ready for painting with smooth, high-quality surfaces.

As a Flatter, your main job will be to prepare vehicle panels so they are smooth and ready for paint. You will check the vehicle after the panel beating process, sand and prepare the panels for primer, and report any issues with the panel beating to your manager. Keeping your workspace clean and tidy is also part of your responsibilities. The work involves standing, bending, and handling tools, so you need to be physically fit for the job.

To apply, you need at least a Grade 12 (Matric) qualification or equivalent. While 2 years of experience in flatting or related work is advantageous, it is not required for entry-level candidates. You must have a valid, unendorsed Code 8 driver’s license and basic computer skills. Strong communication skills in English are essential, along with attention to detail, the ability to work under pressure, and good time management. You should be able to work independently as well as part of a team.

This is a full-time, permanent position based in a workshop environment. The company provides all necessary safety gear (PPE).
