What the job is: This is a full-time Sales Representative position at The Building Company, specifically for their BUCO KuGompo Arcadia branch in East London. You will work internally to support sales operations, manage customer relationships, and ensure smooth delivery of building materials to clients in the construction industry.

What you will do: You will be responsible for keeping track of stock levels to ensure popular building materials are always available for customers. Handling customer requests is a key part of the job, including understanding client needs and helping them find the right products. Resolving customer queries about products, pricing, and availability is another important duty. Managing the delivery of customer orders, processing orders, updating records, and preparing quotes for non-stock items are also part of your role. You will coordinate with logistics teams to meet delivery deadlines and provide excellent customer service as the main point of contact for clients.

What you need: To qualify, you must have completed Grade 12 (Matric) as the minimum educational requirement. Prior experience in retail sales, specifically at least 3 years in a building or construction environment, is necessary. Strong communication and organizational skills are required, along with a basic understanding of building materials and construction processes. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is also essential.
