This job is for a Maintenance Artisan Millwright at Samancor’s East Plant in Steelpoort, Mpumalanga. You will be responsible for keeping the plant’s mechanical and electrical equipment running safely and efficiently. The role involves fixing breakdowns, performing planned maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
- Follow work orders and task lists to maintain, repair, and troubleshoot equipment, including machines, electrical systems, and conveyor belts.
- Handle breakdowns quickly and safely, recording details to identify root causes.
- Manage spare parts, create maintenance orders, and complete safety checks.
- Isolate equipment properly and fill out required paperwork, including reports and damage logs.
- Operate cranes or forklifts to move heavy loads.
- Work on electrical equipment (transformers, motors, control systems) and mechanical systems (pumps, gearboxes, drives).
- Identify risks, suggest safety improvements, and adhere to all safety protocols.
- Use computer systems (IMS, EBMS, SAP) to report on safety and maintenance work.

Requirements:
- Grade 12 or N3 qualification with a passed Millwright trade test.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Proficiency with conveyor belts, electrical systems, transformers, air compressors, and PLCs/variable speed drives.
- Computer skills (Microsoft programs, Samancor systems).
- Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities.
- Safety awareness and results-driven attitude.
