This is a hands-on Process Engineer position at Pedros, a company known for its chicken and food products. You will work at their Sauce Plant in Newlands East, KwaZulu-Natal. The role involves managing the entire process of making sauces, from ingredients to packaging, while ensuring everything runs smoothly, safely, and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee sauce production processes including cooking, mixing, cooling, filling, and packaging.
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues independently, optimizing production processes.
- Maintain and improve utilities like steam, cooling systems, and automated controls.
- Develop and implement maintenance plans, ensuring compliance with food safety standards (GMP, HACCP).
- Collaborate with contractors, manage equipment upgrades, and train staff on machinery usage.

Requirements:
- Degree or diploma in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
- 3-5 years of experience in food, beverage, or similar manufacturing, preferably in sauce/liquid food processing.
- Hands-on experience with cooking, cooling, filling, and cleaning systems.
- Knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, and industrial controls.
- Ability to work on the plant floor, troubleshoot issues, and occasionally work outside normal hours.
