Job Description
This job is for a Senior Designer at a global brand activation and retail marketing agency based in Cape Town’s Southern Suburbs. The role is perfect for someone with strong design skills who wants to work on exciting projects for well-known international brands, including a famous sportswear company. You’ll be part of a creative team that blends music, fashion, and lifestyle culture, all while working from Cape Town.
As a Senior Designer, you will create original design concepts based on project briefs and brand guidelines. Your work will include designing retail spaces, activations, and experiential projects for the agency’s clients. You’ll lead projects from the initial idea stage through to final artwork, covering areas like retail displays, campaigns, packaging, and digital designs. Presenting ideas clearly and working with feedback from colleagues and clients will be a big part of the job. You’ll also need to meet deadlines, manage budgets, and ensure designs are accurate and polished. Additionally, you’ll mentor junior designers and share expertise on trends, tools, and techniques.
To be considered, you should have at least five years of design experience, ideally in a creative agency or fast-paced environment. Strong skills in layout, typography, and modern design are essential, along with confidence using Adobe Creative Cloud and understanding production requirements. You’ll need to manage multiple projects, stay organized, and meet deadlines while paying close attention to detail. Clear communication and teamwork are also important.
This job offers a competitive salary of between R50,000 and R70,000 per month, depending on experience. The work model is hybrid (three days in the office, two days remote). The company values culture, creativity, and teamwork, offering growth opportunities with a studio that’s expanding. You’ll work on meaningful projects for global brands while having a say in creative decisions. The role is permanent, and the company follows an Employment Equity policy, giving preference to black South African candidates (African, Coloured, and Indian) in line with their plan.
