What the job is: This is a full-time HR Coordinator position at Samancor, a mining company based in Rustenburg, North West Province. The role focuses on supporting the HR Development (HRD) Engineering team while ensuring safety, training, and compliance with company policies. What you will do: You will be responsible for keeping the workplace safe and healthy by identifying risks in your area, such as hazards to people, equipment, or the environment. You will assess these risks, decide how to reduce them, and put control measures in place to keep everyone safe. This includes following safety, health, environment, and quality (SHEQ) rules and using the company’s Integrated Management System (IMS) to track and report safety progress. You will also ensure employees are properly trained and competent. This means delivering training sessions, checking if employees understand the material, and helping to create new training programs. You will inspect training facilities and equipment to make sure they are in good working order and comply with legal requirements. Another key part of the job is making sure customers (both internal and external) are satisfied with the services provided. You will manage paperwork and records for your area of responsibility while following company policies like World-Class Manufacturing (WCM) guidelines. What you need: To qualify for this role, you need a Technical Grade 12 or N2 certificate. You must have at least 3 years of experience in training and be a registered assessor. A qualification in Engineering Trade (Electrical or Mechanical) and ETDP Level 3 certification are also required. Any extra experience as a moderator or additional training experience will be helpful.
