What the job is: This is a full-time Trainee Manager position at Dis-Chem Pharmacies in the West Coast area, covering locations like Weskus, Langebaan, and De Drift. You will learn how to run a retail pharmacy store under the guidance of an experienced store manager. This role is perfect for someone who wants to gain hands-on experience in retail management while working in a fast-paced pharmacy environment.

What you will do: You will be responsible for learning and assisting with all aspects of store operations, including managing stock levels, ensuring products are correctly priced and displayed, and helping with daily sales targets. You will assist with ordering stock, handling customer complaints, maintaining accurate financial records, supporting customer service efforts, managing loyalty programs, staff scheduling, training, and ensuring all store policies are followed. As part of the trainee program, you will attend meetings, workshops, and complete assessments to build your skills in retail management.

What you need: To qualify, you must have completed Matric (Grade 12) with 1-2 years of retail management experience (stock control, cash handling, reporting, expense management, customer service). Computer literacy with Microsoft Office is essential. A valid driver’s license and reliable transport are required. A diploma in finance/administration is a bonus.
