What the job is: This is a full-time HR Manager position at Erongo Marine Enterprises (Pty) Ltd, a Namibian fishing company based in Walvis Bay. The company specializes in the Horse Mackerel fishery and focuses on fishing operations and community development. This role combines office and operational responsibilities in a dynamic industry.

What you will do: As the HR Manager, you will manage employee relations, ensure smooth communication between management, union officials, and workers, and handle all HR administrative tasks. You will work closely with the Group HR Service Centre to ensure efficient payroll, recruitment, and performance management processes. Responsibilities include coordinating crew work permits, visas, statutory reports, maintaining HR records, organizing training programs, managing disciplinary and grievance processes, and ensuring compliance with Namibian labor laws.

What you need: A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, Organizational Psychology, Business Management, or a related field (Honours degree preferred). At least five years of experience in generalist HR roles covering employee relations, payroll, recruitment, remuneration, benefits, performance management, and training. Experience in a blue-collar industry with strong industrial relations is beneficial. Strong knowledge of Namibian labor legislation (Labour Act 11 of 2007) and proficiency in SAP HCM, MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint are required. Excellent communication skills in English and the ability to work with a multicultural team are essential.
