What the job is: This is a full-time Bid Content Writer position at BDO South Africa, based in Gqeberha (formerly Port Elizabeth). You will work as part of the BDO Wave team, focusing on creating and managing content for proposals, pitches, and client-facing materials. The role involves working closely with sales, marketing, and knowledge management teams to ensure high-quality, reusable content that supports the firm’s success in winning new business.

What you will do: You will be responsible for developing and maintaining content for the Templafy automated bid template system, ensuring all reusable content is accurate, relevant, and aligned with BDO’s value proposition. This includes writing and editing proposal content, executive summaries, and pitch materials across all service lines. You will collaborate with subject matter experts and business stakeholders to translate complex information into clear, client-focused messaging.

What you need: You need at least five years of experience developing, writing, and editing proposals, marketing, or business development content in an agency, professional services, or B2B environment. Strong written English skills are a must, as you will need to translate complex technical information into clear, engaging, and persuasive content.
