This job is for a Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Officer at GVK-Siya Zama Construction, based in the Western Cape. The role focuses on ensuring worker safety, compliance with safety and environmental regulations, and maintaining high standards on construction sites. Key responsibilities include implementing the company's Business Operating System (BOS) for HSE, conducting site inspections, assessing subcontractor compliance, identifying and mitigating risks, and supporting ISO 45001 (workplace safety) and ISO 14001 (environmental management) certifications. The ideal candidate must have a SAMTRAC or NEBOSH certificate, 4+ years of experience in construction HSE, SACPCMP CHSO registration, and knowledge of legal liability, fall protection, risk assessment, and first aid.
