This job is for a Food Sourcing Specialist at International Facilities Services (IFS) in Umhlanga, KwaZulu-Natal. You will be responsible for finding and managing food supplies across IFS’s markets in Africa. The role focuses on ensuring food quality, safety, affordability, and availability while supporting local suppliers and following company rules.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed sourcing plans for food categories, including budget, requirements, suppliers, and risk assessments.
- Organize sourcing events (tenders, negotiations) to secure optimal food supplies.
- Collaborate with chefs and operations teams to define cost-effective food specifications.
- Analyze market factors (prices, seasons, currency, transport) impacting food costs.
- Build supplier relationships, assess delivery capabilities, and negotiate fair terms.
- Reduce product variety and enforce performance standards.
- Manage contracts, track savings, and utilize digital tools for efficiency.
- Work cross-functionally with operations, finance, quality, and logistics teams.
- Lead and develop a team to ensure high performance.

Requirements:
- Degree or diploma in Procurement, Supply Chain, Commerce, Food Science, or related field (CIPS qualification preferred).
- 4–7 years of experience in food procurement, FMCG, hospitality, or catering (multi-market experience preferred).
- Valid Code EB driver’s license.
- Willingness to travel across Sub-Saharan Africa.
