This is a 2-year contract position for a Flight Operations Trainee at the South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA) in Centurion, Gauteng. The role involves working under the supervision of experienced inspectors to ensure airlines and aviation operators meet safety standards. You will help assess whether companies can safely operate flights and recommend actions to improve their safety practices.

Key responsibilities include:
- Evaluating airline and operator safety compliance through inspections
- Reviewing operations, documents, and procedures against safety regulations
- Monitoring ongoing compliance through regular and surprise checks
- Recommending approvals, special conditions, or enforcement actions as needed
- Staying updated on aviation technology, safety trends, and human factors

Requirements:
- Minimum qualification: Commercial Pilot License (ATPL advantageous)
- Minimum 200 flying hours of experience
- Strong understanding of aviation safety and operations
