This job is for a Revit Draughtsperson or BIM Modeller to work in Cape Town. A well-known electrical engineering consulting firm is looking for someone with experience in creating and managing detailed 3D models and drawings for building projects. The team works on complex projects like building services and data centers, so you will be part of a skilled engineering group.

You will create and update accurate 3D Revit models for engineering projects. Your job will include making detailed technical drawings and documents using Revit and AutoCAD. You will also help engineers by developing and coordinating building service designs, ensuring everything fits together correctly.

You will work on BIM (Building Information Modeling) projects, making sure the models follow the project’s rules and standards. This means reading and understanding engineering designs, drawings, and project details to keep everything up to date. You will also work with other engineering teams (like mechanical, electrical, and plumbing) to make sure all models and drawings match and are ready on time.

You should have around 5 years of experience using Revit, with strong skills in both Revit and AutoCAD. Experience in electrical building services is a big plus, but experience in other MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) fields will also be considered.

A qualification in draughting, engineering, BIM, or a related field would be helpful. You need to pay close attention to detail and be able to work well with others in a team. Good communication skills and the ability to meet deadlines are important. You must also have your own reliable transport since the job is based in Cape Town.
