This is a Junior Merchandiser Intern position with Managed People Solutions, based in Klawer, Western Cape. The role is perfect for someone who wants to start or grow their career in the exciting liquor and retail industry. You’ll work in a fast-paced environment, helping to create attractive product displays and gaining hands-on experience with top brands in stores.

As a Junior Merchandiser Intern, your main tasks will include checking which products need to be displayed and ensuring the right stock is available in-store. You’ll inspect products to ensure they are in good condition, correctly priced, and properly rotated. Setting up products according to company standards will be part of your daily work, along with reporting any customer issues or requests to the team.

You’ll also keep detailed records of merchandising activities and monitor stock levels to report any shortages to management. Staying updated on product promotions and brand guidelines is important, as well as following a set schedule for store visits. When needed, you’ll advise the Regional Sales Manager about products that are out of stock or not meeting sales targets.

To qualify for this internship, you must be under 28 years old and currently unemployed. You should not have participated in a similar internship before. You need to have completed an N6 Certificate in either Marketing Management or Business Management. Attention to detail, reliability, and a willingness to work in a fast-paced retail environment are essential.

This internship offers a monthly stipend of R3,500 and lasts for 18 months as part of the TVET N6 program. You’ll work part-time, with a schedule of 9 hours per day, including a lunch break.
