We are looking for an experienced Data Analyst to join a data and analytics project in Johannesburg. This is a contract role where you will work with a team to turn complex data into useful business insights. The company is hiring someone who can handle data well and help make smart decisions based on that data.

What you will do:
- Analyze large sets of data to find important trends, patterns, and problems that can help the business.
- Create and improve reports, dashboards, and performance measures that show how the business is doing.
- Build and improve data pipelines, which are automated systems that move and process data.
- Set up and manage data connections using Microsoft Azure, ensuring data is accurate, reliable, and easy to understand.
- Work with statistical methods and data models to support business reporting.
- Ensure data is clean, correct, and follows good practices.
- Collaborate with technical teams and business stakeholders to understand needs and deliver data solutions.

What you need:
- Qualification at NQF level 7 or higher (e.g., degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field).
- At least 5 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a similar role.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, and R.
- Experience in statistical analysis, data interpretation, and creating insights.
- Knowledge of data quality management, validation, and accuracy.
- Experience with data pipelines, ETL processes, and data integration.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure data services (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics) is a plus.
- Experience with tools like Power BI or Tableau is advantageous.
