Faircape is looking for a skilled Handyman to join their team at two of their luxury retirement villages, Heritage Manor and Bridgewater Manor, located in Somerset West, Western Cape. Faircape manages six beautiful retirement and lifestyle villages across the Western Cape, known for their well-maintained facilities and high-quality living environments. This is a permanent position where you will be responsible for keeping the estates in excellent condition, ensuring residents enjoy a comfortable and safe home.

You will handle a wide range of maintenance tasks, including fixing small repairs like broken doors, windows, and fittings, as well as general tasks such as painting, tiling, and basic carpentry. You will respond to daily maintenance requests, resolve issues efficiently, and conduct regular checks to prevent bigger repairs. Plumbing and electrical work will also be part of your role, though complex issues will be referred to specialists.

You will maintain tools and equipment, assist with general upkeep tasks, and communicate professionally with residents, staff, and contractors. Practical skills in plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, painting, and tiling are essential, along with at least two years of experience as a handyman or in general maintenance.

Faircape offers a permanent position with a market-related salary, quarterly performance bonuses, long service leave, and discounts on high-speed internet packages after probation. The job involves working Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with a 45-minute lunch break.
