This job is for a Business Development Manager at a fast-growing company that makes and sells food, drinks, and other everyday products for consumers. The company is expanding its factories in South Africa and wants to build strong partnerships to grow its business. They are looking for someone experienced in selling these types of products to other businesses across South Africa, especially in the food and drink industry.

You will be responsible for growing the company’s sales in different markets, such as restaurants, factories, big stores, schools, and other large customers. Your main tasks will include finding new opportunities to sell the company’s products, building relationships with important customers, and making deals to sell large amounts of products. You will also lead talks about prices, contracts, and supply agreements. Since the company is opening a new factory, you will play a key role in getting major customers to commit to buying their products.

You should have 8 to 15 years of experience working in business development for companies that sell food, drinks, or similar products. You need to know a lot about how the South African market works, especially in food and drinks. It is important that you have a proven record of winning big customers and launching new products or brands. You must be good at negotiating deals and managing important accounts. A degree in business, marketing, or commerce is required, and having an MBA would be an advantage.

The salary for this job is between R600,000 and R800,000 per year, plus extra money from sales commissions. The job is permanent, full-time with long-term security, based in Kempton Park, Gauteng.
