This is a full-time Maintenance Technician position at Virgin Active’s Waterstone Village club in Somerset West, Western Cape. You will be responsible for keeping the gym, facilities, and equipment in excellent working condition while ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage preventative maintenance and repairs of all equipment and facilities.
- Follow a strict maintenance schedule for HVAC systems, report faults, and track issues using the maintenance log system.
- Handle on-site repairs, ensuring everything meets brand standards.
- Inspect the club daily to identify maintenance tasks, including gym equipment, pool conditions, and general facility upkeep.
- Record pool key readings, ensure proper dosing, and maintain pool equipment.
- Manage health and safety requirements and ensure team compliance with regulations.
- Oversee action plans and projects, working with contractors to maintain brand standards.
- Manage budgets, stock levels, and supplier relationships.
- Lead the maintenance team, assign tasks, train staff, and manage shift rosters.

Requirements:
- Entry-level candidates with no prior experience required.
- Hands-on technical skills and willingness to learn.
- Comfortable working with tools and troubleshooting basic equipment issues.
- Strong communication skills for liaising with contractors, management, and team members.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations is a plus.
