Job Description
This is a part-time position for a Strength and Conditioning Coach at St Stithians Girls’ College, located in Johannesburg North, Gauteng. The college is a Methodist-focused school that aims to develop confident, purpose-driven young women. The role supports the college’s mission to create a safe, encouraging, and inclusive environment where students can grow both as athletes and responsible individuals.
As a Strength and Conditioning Coach, you will lead morning and afternoon training sessions to help students improve their physical fitness and athletic performance. You will work closely with the Director of Sport Science and the broader sports department to ensure all training aligns with the college’s goals. Your role also includes supporting the overall development of students, helping them grow as both high-performing athletes and well-rounded young people.
To qualify for this role, you need at least two years of experience in coaching or strength and conditioning. A strong background in sports, including competitive playing experience beyond high school (matric), is essential. Experience coaching in a school, university, or club setting will be highly valued. While not required, qualifications in strength and conditioning, sports science, or a related field will be an advantage. A police clearance certificate (sexual offender’s clearance) is required for all staff working in a school environment.
