This job is for a Cost Accountant at Pedros, a company known for its fast-food restaurants. You will be based in Newlands East, KwaZulu-Natal. The role involves managing all financial aspects related to production costs, ensuring accurate financial records, and supporting the company’s financial planning.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage costs and materials used in production, updating cost records and Bills of Materials in the Sage system.
- Lead weekly and monthly checks on work-in-progress inventory, monitor production, and analyze cost differences.
- Develop and improve standard operating procedures (SOPs) and internal controls to ensure accurate financial records.
- Prepare and submit monthly financial reports, including management accounts and general ledger reconciliations.
- Create and manage monthly budgets and forecasts.

Requirements:
- Qualification in Financial Management or Accounting, preferably CIMA certification.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role, ideally in FMCG, QSR, or retail sectors.
- Strong understanding of finance and cost accounting, with experience using Sage 200 Evolution or similar software.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the company.
