This job is for an IT Manager to join a manufacturing company specializing in the automotive industry. The company is based in New Germany, KwaZulu-Natal. You will lead the IT department, ensuring technology supports business goals by creating and managing an IT strategy that includes operational technology (OT), AI, cloud computing, and data management. Responsibilities include improving IT operations, introducing new solutions, leading the IT team, enforcing IT policies, managing budgets, negotiating vendor contracts, and overseeing IT projects. Collaboration with the head office, employee education, and managing industrial control systems (ICS) are key. Monthly and quarterly reports will be prepared for the Executive Committee and IT Steering Committee. You will handle IT audits, cybersecurity, infrastructure management, and technology procurement while ensuring compliance and disaster recovery plans are in place.
