What the job is: This job is for a Credit Manager at OOS VRYSTAAT KAAP BEDRYF BPK / OPERATIONS LTD, located in Bloemfontein, Free State. The role focuses on improving the company’s profitability and reducing risks by managing and collecting debts effectively.

What you will do: As a Credit Manager, you will be responsible for lending credit to clients while ensuring the company’s money is repaid on time. You will manage the debtors’ accounts, keeping track of who owes money and following up on payments. You will handle all paperwork and records related to credit transactions and oversee the day-to-day operations of the credit office.

What you need: To qualify, you need to have completed Matric (Grade 12), with a qualification in accounting or finance being advantageous. At least five years of experience in agricultural credit lending is required. Knowledge of credit laws and FICA (Financial Intelligence Centre Act) is essential. A valid driver’s license is mandatory.

You should be comfortable using computers, especially Microsoft Office programs. Good communication skills in both Afrikaans and English are essential. Strong numerical and organizational skills are required, along with the ability to handle pressure and maintain confidentiality. Relationship-building and team motivation are also key.
