What the job is

Ecowize, a company specializing in hygiene and sanitation services, is looking for a Site Manager based in Malmesbury. This is a full-time position where you will oversee daily operations at a cleaning services site, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and safety. What you will do

As the Site Manager, you will be responsible for running the day-to-day operations at the site. This includes making sure the facility meets food safety standards and follows company guidelines. You will carry out regular inspections, check microbiological tests, and handle customer feedback to ensure everything runs smoothly. Managing the team is a big part of the job, which includes scheduling staff, handling payroll, and addressing any HR issues that come up.

You will also train and develop your team to improve their skills and performance, while keeping an eye on health and safety standards. This means identifying risks, fixing problems like failed microbiological tests, and making sure all safety rules are followed. Building strong relationships with customers by keeping them updated and addressing their concerns is another key responsibility. Additionally, you may help with hiring new staff and organizing training programs for the team.

What you need

To qualify for this job, you need to have completed Matric (Grade 12). Experience in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) or cleaning industry is a plus, but not required. You must have at least two years of experience managing a team of 30 or more employees. A good understanding of basic equipment and maintenance is important, as well as experience with hygiene quality systems.

You should be comfortable traveling and working in different locations as needed. Strong English communication skills are a must, along with good administrative abilities. The job requires flexibility, including working weekends and shift hours. You must also be able to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain high work standards. Experience in the food production industry is preferred, and you should be able to manage strict operational processes.
