A civil engineering company, working through Hire Resolve, is looking for a Senior Cost Control Specialist to join their team in Roodepoort, Gauteng. As a Senior Cost Control Specialist, your main job will be to manage and control costs for capital projects. You will help set up new projects by creating budgets and ensuring costs stay within limits. This includes tracking expenses, forecasting future costs, and making sure all financial records match the actual spending. You will also work closely with the finance team to check and balance accounts, ensuring everything is accurate and compliant with company rules. Additionally, you may be involved in reporting to senior management about cost performance and suggesting ways to save money or improve efficiency.

To qualify for this role, you need at least eight years of experience in cost control for capital projects. A bachelor’s degree in Cost Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field is required. Having a certification in project controls, cost engineering, or a similar area will be a big plus. You should also have hands-on experience with project setup, budgeting, forecasting, and reconciling capital accounts. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure are essential, as this role involves managing large sums of money and tight deadlines.

This position offers a very competitive salary, ranging from R700,000 to R980,000 per year, depending on your experience. The company is known for providing a stable and rewarding work environment.
