Dis-Chem Pharmacies Limited in Parkdene, Boksburg, Gauteng, is looking for a Dispensary Support Assistant. This role is designed for learners who want to complete the basic pharmacist assistant course. The position is a fixed-term contract until qualification and registration with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC) as a learner basic assistant. Once qualified, permanent employment may be offered.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist pharmacists in the dispensary while learning required skills.
- Help with medicine sales, prescription preparation, and dispensary organization.
- Manage stock control, check expiry dates, and maintain clean shelves.
- Provide customer service, including phone inquiries and health information.
- Learn prescription interpretation, dosage checks, and drug interactions.
- Assist with scheme authorizations for chronic, HIV, and oncology medications.

Requirements:
- Matric (Grade 12) with 50% in Pure Mathematics, Life Science, or Physical Science, and an overall average of 50%.
- Pass proficiency test for SAPC registration.
- Strong communication skills in English and another language.
- Attention to detail, time management, and ability to work under pressure.
- Team player, honest, and professional.
- Computer skills and basic numerical abilities.
- South African citizenship with valid MIE, clear criminal and credit records.
