This job is for a Hydraulic Fitter at Assmang’s Black Rock Mine Operations, located about 80 kilometers northwest of Kuruman in the Northern Cape. Assmang is looking for skilled, motivated, and dedicated people who want to grow their careers in mining. This is a fixed-term contract position, offering a chance to develop skills in a busy mining environment.

As a Hydraulic Fitter, you will be responsible for fixing and maintaining mechanical equipment, including hydraulic systems. Your main tasks include following work orders to diagnose, repair, and install equipment, keeping the workshop clean and organized, and suggesting practical improvements to workflows. You will work closely with your team, assess risks, follow safety rules, and document work properly.

Requirements: Completed Grade 12 (Matric), trade qualification as a Fitter or Diesel Mechanic, valid Driver’s License (Code B or EB), Dover B Symbol certification, and at least 3 years of experience as a Fitter or Diesel Mechanic in underground mining.
