What the job is: This is a fixed-term position for a Dispensary Support Assistant at the Dis-Chem Pharmacies store in Makhado Crossing, Limpopo. The job is designed for learners who want to complete a basic pharmacist assistant course while working. Once you finish the course and register with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC), you may be offered permanent employment. What you will do: As a Dispensary Support Assistant, you will help the pharmacy team with daily tasks while learning the basics of pharmacy work. Your main duties will include assisting customers, managing stock, and following strict procedures to ensure safety and accuracy. You will work under the direct supervision of a pharmacist and learn how to handle medicines, check prescriptions, and assist with stock control.

What you need: To apply for this job, you must have completed Matric (Grade 12) with at least 50% in Pure Mathematics, Life Sciences, or Physical Sciences, and an overall average of 50% or higher. You must have passed a proficiency test that allows you to register as a learner basic assistant with the SAPC. You must be a South African citizen with a valid ID book, a clean criminal record, a good credit record, and a valid Medical Examination (MIE).
