What the job is: This job is for a Cosmetic Consultant at Dis-Chem Pharmacies Limited, located in the Blue Route Mall, Tokai store in Cape Town, Western Cape. You will be responsible for selling and promoting cosmetics and beauty products while providing excellent customer service. What you will do: As a Cosmetic Consultant, your main job will be to help customers find and buy Dis-Chem’s cosmetic and beauty products. You will show customers how to use products through makeovers, demonstrations, and promotions. You will also ensure the products are displayed nicely and keep track of stock levels, reporting any issues like missing, damaged, or expired items to your manager. Another important part of the job is managing salon appointments and meeting promotions and sales targets. You will stay updated on new products, brands, and industry trends. Following Dis-Chem’s rules, safety guidelines, and company policies will be a big part of your daily work.

What you need: To apply for this job, you must have completed Matric (Grade 12) and have some experience working in retail, especially as a sales consultant. Being comfortable with computers is also important. Experience in cosmetics, fragrances, or beauty, as well as sales or promotional training, is advantageous. You must be able to work during retail hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Strong communication skills in English are required, and being a team player is essential. Understanding sales reports and stock management will help you succeed in this role. A valid driver’s license, reliable transport, and South African citizenship with a clean criminal and credit record are required.
