Dis-Chem Pharmacies Limited is looking for a reliable and friendly Cashier to work at their Willowbridge store in Tygervalley, Cape Town. This is a permanent job where you will help customers at the checkout while ensuring they have a great shopping experience. The role involves handling cash, processing sales, and following strict company rules to avoid mistakes or fraud.

As a Cashier, your main tasks will include greeting customers and helping them with their purchases. You will use the Dis-Chem computer system to scan items, process payments (cash, cards, vouchers, and loyalty points), and ensure all transactions are correct. You will also handle returns and exchanges when allowed, keep the cash safe in the till, and report any suspicious activity to your supervisor.

To apply for this job, you must have completed Matric (Grade 12) and have at least six months of experience working as a cashier or with a till. You should be comfortable using computers, especially Microsoft Office, and have good math skills. Strong English communication is a must, and basic customer service experience is helpful.
