What the job is
This is a contract role for a Monitoring and Evaluation and Business Efficiency Superintendent at Ivanhoe Mines, specifically for the Kamoa Copper project in Kolwezi, Democratic Republic of Congo. The position is part of the Sustainability team and focuses on improving local community business performance and reducing operational waste.
What you will do
You will design and manage systems to track the performance of local community businesses. You will collect and analyze data to measure progress and identify areas for improvement. You will create reports and visual tools to share findings with stakeholders. You will visit project sites to check data quality and monitor progress. You will also train teams, manage relationships with partners, and ensure financial plans for community businesses are efficient and well-managed.
What you need
You must have a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Social Sciences, International Development, Statistics, or a related field. A degree in Monitoring and Evaluation is preferred. You need at least 8 years of experience in Monitoring and Evaluation, with at least 3 years in a mining environment. You must be fluent in English, and French is a strong advantage. Skills in data analysis, project management, communication, and leadership are essential.
