What the job is

This is a permanent position for a Maintenance Head at iOCO (andbeyond) in Kenya. The role involves overseeing all maintenance operations to ensure lodge facilities, equipment, vehicles, and technical systems are safe, functional, and well-maintained.

What you will do

You will lead and supervise mechanics and maintenance staff, assigning daily tasks and conducting team briefings. You will inspect lodge facilities and key systems like water treatment, generators, solar systems, HVAC, and electrical panels. You will assist with urgent repairs, ensure equipment and vehicles are in working order, and coordinate with subcontractors to maintain high standards. You will also monitor fuel and gas levels, stock tools and consumables, and keep detailed records of all maintenance work.

What you need

You must have strong technical knowledge of maintenance systems, including electrical, plumbing, solar, and HVAC. You should have proven experience leading and supervising a team, excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, and familiarity with sustainability practices. Proficiency in record-keeping and reporting is required, and you must hold a valid driver’s license.
