What you will do

You will assist senior account managers with daily tasks like coordinating with clients, tracking media coverage, and preparing weekly or monthly reports. You will also monitor breaking news and trending topics to find quick opportunities for client commentary. Additionally, you will keep track of news agendas and log coverage as it appears.

What you need

You need at least two years of experience working in a public relations agency, specifically handling tech-related accounts such as cybersecurity, software, cloud computing, telecommunications, or fintech. You must have a proven track record of securing media coverage and strong relationships with key tech, business-to-business, and business journalists. You should be skilled at identifying newsworthy angles, writing compelling pitch emails, and following up effectively without being pushy. You must also be organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage deadlines and client reporting using tools like Google Drive. Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently in a remote team are essential.
