This is a Senior Application Developer position at Hire Resolve, based in Johannesburg, Gauteng. The role is with a leading South African financial services company that specializes in insurance, investment, and value-added solutions. The company is looking for someone to turn business needs into strong, scalable software solutions.

What you will do

You will design, build, test, and support full-stack web solutions and RESTful APIs, following company standards and quality measures. You will work with Business Analysts to define requirements and estimate development tasks. You will identify and manage technical risks and issues throughout projects. You will also guide and mentor junior developers, acting as a technical expert. Additionally, you will collaborate with IT teams and business stakeholders in an Agile work environment.

What you need

You must have a degree, diploma, or certification in Computer Science or a related field. You need at least 8 years of experience in full-lifecycle software development. Experience in Agile environments like Scrum or Kanban is required. Knowledge of the insurance industry is a plus. You should be skilled in C#, .NET Core, SQL Server, Blazor, HTML5, and CSS. Experience with RESTful API design, unit testing, and DevOps automation is beneficial. Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills are essential.

What you will get

The salary ranges from R720,000 to R840,000 per year, with the possibility of earning more based on experience and skills. This is a permanent, full-time position offering a competitive salary and the chance to work in a dynamic industry.
