What the job is

A well-known packaging company in Germiston, Gauteng, is hiring an experienced Logistics and Warehouse Manager. This role involves leading warehouse and logistics operations to ensure smooth, safe, and efficient handling of goods. You will work closely with teams to manage inventory, transport, and overall warehouse performance.

What you will do

You will oversee all warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, picking, and dispatching goods. You will monitor stock levels, space usage, and inventory accuracy to prevent shortages or excess. You will plan and review transport routes, vehicle loads, and delivery schedules to ensure on-time and cost-effective shipments. You will also manage and train warehouse staff, ensuring they follow safety rules and perform their tasks correctly. Additionally, you will prepare reports, solve delivery issues, and work with other departments to improve operations.

What you need

You must have a Matric certificate or equivalent, along with a diploma or degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field. You need at least 5 years of experience in warehouse or logistics work, including 2 years in a supervisory or management role. Strong knowledge of inventory control, transport planning, and warehouse systems is required. You should also have experience with ERP or warehouse management software, Microsoft Excel, and team leadership. A valid driver’s license is a plus.

What you will get

The salary for this permanent position is between R800,000 and R840,000 per year, and it may be negotiable. You will have the opportunity to work in a leading company with a focus on growth and improvement.
