What the job is

This is a Fire Systems Engineer position at Fidelity Services Group, based in Midrand, Gauteng. The role is part of the Fidelity ADT division and focuses on selling and managing fire detection, gas suppression, and maintenance solutions for businesses in commercial, mining, and industrial sectors.

What you will do

You will identify and develop new sales opportunities by making cold calls and meeting potential clients to grow the business. You will prepare quotes and proposals, manage client accounts, and keep track of competitors and industry trends. You will also handle technical tasks like reading drawings, ensuring installations meet standards, and coordinating with teams to deliver projects successfully. Travel may be required for meetings or site visits.

What you need

You need at least five years of experience in fire industry sales, especially with integrated systems like fire alarms and gas suppression. You must understand industry standards such as SANS10139 and others, and have FDIA design qualifications. SAQCC registration is required. Strong sales skills, report writing, and computer literacy are essential. You must have a valid driver’s licence, reliable transport, and a passport for possible travel within South Africa and abroad.
