What the job is

Econo Foods is a fast-growing company that sells frozen foods and other everyday products at great prices. They are looking for a Logistics Manager to join their team in Edenvale, Johannesburg. This person will lead the logistics operations to make sure products are stored, moved, and delivered safely, on time, and at low cost while following all health and safety rules.

What you will do

You will plan and improve warehouse and transport operations to ensure products are received, stored, and delivered correctly. You will manage warehouse layouts, inventory accuracy, and delivery schedules to meet customer orders on time. You will also lead the team, ensure food safety and workplace safety, control costs, and solve any delivery or stock issues. Additionally, you will work with other departments to improve service levels and support business growth.

What you need

You need a Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. You must have 10 to 12 years of experience in logistics, warehouse, or distribution center management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role. Experience in FMCG, retail, or temperature-controlled environments is a plus. You should have strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, as well as experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
