Hire Resolve is looking for a Professional Quantity Surveyor for their client, a well-known quantity surveying and construction consultancy. The company provides cost management and project services. The job is based in KwaDlangezwa, KwaZulu-Natal, and requires someone with experience in NEC contracts who can start work right away.

What you will do

You will manage quantity surveying tasks for construction and infrastructure projects. This includes preparing bills of quantities, cost estimates, valuations, and payment certificates. You will also handle cost planning, budget management, and financial reporting throughout the project. Additionally, you will administer construction contracts, review contractor claims, and provide commercial advice to stakeholders. Site visits to assess progress and financial performance are part of the role, as well as preparing tender documents and supporting procurement.

What you need

You must have a BSc, BTech, or BSc Honours degree in Quantity Surveying or an equivalent qualification. Professional registration with SACQSP as a Professional Quantity Surveyor is required. You need proven experience in quantity surveying, strong knowledge of construction contracts, and experience with NEC contracts. Good communication, negotiation, and analytical skills are essential, along with the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
