What the job is

This is a full-time Telemarketing Agent position at homechoice, a well-known South African homeware retailer. The job is based in Cape Town, Western Cape, and involves working in a fast-paced contact centre to sell products to customers over the phone. homechoice has been helping customers create beautiful homes for over 40 years with affordable, high-quality products.

What you will do

You will drive sales by making outbound calls to potential customers and convincing them to buy products or services. You will need to meet and exceed sales targets in a high-volume calling environment. Your duties include presenting and promoting products, handling customer objections, and closing sales. You will also update customer information accurately, maintain high productivity, and represent the homechoice brand professionally. Additionally, you will work in a target-driven setting where performance is closely measured.

What you need

You must have a Matric (Grade 12) certificate and a clear criminal and ITC record. It is preferred that you have 2 to 3 years of experience in outbound sales or telemarketing within a contact centre. You should have a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets, strong objection-handling and closing skills, and experience with dialler systems. Fluency in English and at least two other South African languages is preferred. You must also be proficient in using MS Office applications like Email, Word, and Excel.
