What the job is

This is a Store Manager position at PEP, a well-known retail company. The job is based at the PEP Home store in Jacaranda, Pretoria, Gauteng. As the Store Manager, you will lead the store team to meet business goals and ensure the store runs smoothly and efficiently.

What you will do

You will increase sales by providing excellent customer service and maintaining high store standards. This includes keeping the store clean and well-organized, managing stock, and implementing promotions. You will also minimize stock loss by following security measures, handling stock and cash properly, and fostering a positive store culture. Managing costs efficiently and completing administrative tasks according to company guidelines will be part of your role. Additionally, you will lead, train, coach, and manage the performance of your team. You will ensure the store meets health, safety, and housekeeping standards at all times.

What you need

You must have a Grade 12 certificate and be proficient in English. A degree or diploma in a business or retail-related field would be an advantage. Ideally, you should have 1-2 years of experience in a retail leadership role. Computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office or Google GSuite, is beneficial. You should have a passion for retail, strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. You must also be willing to work retail hours, which may include weekends and public holidays.
