What the job is

This is a job for a Cashier at Yogiberry, a new store opening in Boksburg, Gauteng. Yogiberry is part of the Pedros family, a well-known brand in the food and beverage industry. This is a permanent position for someone who wants to be part of a growing company and help create a great experience for customers from the very first day.

What you will do

You will process customer orders and payments accurately using the POS system. You will handle cash, card, and digital payments and issue receipts. You will also promote specials, upsell products, and manage customer queues to keep things running smoothly. Additionally, you will resolve basic customer complaints, keep the counter area clean and organized, balance cash at the end of your shift, and protect company assets to prevent losses.

What you need

You should have previous cashier or retail experience, though it is not required. You must have strong numeracy skills and a professional appearance and attitude. You should also be honest, detail-oriented, and able to handle stress. Good communication skills and a focus on customer service are important, as well as the ability to solve problems and work in a fast-paced environment.
