What the job is

This is a Senior Manager Procurement (Professional Services) position at Eskom, a leading company in the electricity, energy, and water supply industry. The role is based in Sunninghill, Gauteng, and involves providing strategic leadership in procurement and supply chain management for professional services. You will report to the General Manager of Procurement & Supply Chain Management and work within the Corporate Procurement Business Unit.

What you will do

You will lead and direct the execution of procurement and supply chain management strategies, ensuring they align with Eskom’s overall goals. Your responsibilities include overseeing demand management, acquisition, procurement, logistics, disposal, and supply chain functions. You will also manage governance and compliance processes, as well as resource allocation for procurement and supply chain operations. Additionally, you will develop and implement strategies to enhance these functions across the division.

What you need

You must have an Honours Degree in Commerce, Law, or Engineering (NQF 8 with 480 credits). You also need at least 10 years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, and contract management, preferably in an energy utility or similar environment. Professional registration with MCIPS is required. Strong leadership, strategic thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential, along with expertise in governance, compliance, and stakeholder management.
