What the job is

Lesaka Technologies, through its EasyPay Everywhere division, offers financial services like banking, lending, and payments to customers across South Africa. They are looking for a Site Reliability and Production Support Engineer in Johannesburg, Gauteng, to help keep their systems running smoothly and reliably for their customers and business operations.

What you will do

You will handle production incidents from start to finish, fixing issues directly or working with other teams when needed. You will investigate problems using logs, metrics, and system diagnostics, and implement changes to prevent them from happening again. You will also improve monitoring, automate support tasks, and ensure systems are reliable and perform well. Additionally, you will participate in on-call rotations to address critical incidents outside of regular business hours.

What you need

You need a degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field. You must have at least 5 years of experience in site reliability engineering, production support, DevOps, or a similar role. You should be skilled in troubleshooting applications, databases, operating systems, networks, and cloud infrastructure. Experience with scripting or programming languages like Python, Bash, or C# is required, along with familiarity with monitoring and logging tools. Strong communication skills and the ability to work under pressure are also essential.
