What the job is

This is a training opportunity for a Cooking Trainee position at Sun International’s Wild Coast Sun Casino in Port Edward, KwaZulu-Natal. The company is looking for energetic and motivated individuals who want to start a career in professional cooking. This is a contract-based role, and there are 10 positions available.

What you will do

You will work in the Food and Beverage Department, specifically in the kitchen area. Your tasks will include following kitchen procedures to prepare and serve food. You will also help create a positive environment that ensures excellent service for guests. This role requires teamwork and attention to detail in a fast-paced setting.

What you need

To apply, you must have a Grade 12 certificate with Maths or Maths Literacy. You should be able to read, write, and speak English clearly. You must have a valid South African ID. You need to be willing to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays, and be able to stand for long periods. The job involves working in a smoking environment.
