What the job is

This is a Legal Graduate position offered through the Supplier Development Initiative Graduate Programme, sponsored by Rand Refinery. The job is based in JHB East Rand, Gauteng, and is a fixed-term contract for 12 months. It is part of a socio-economic development initiative aimed at providing unemployed graduates with practical work experience in their field of study.

What you will do

You will work in a practical learning environment with a structured development plan to guide your growth. You will receive on-the-job training as part of a team that focuses on customer service. You will get regular feedback from mentors and participate in work-readiness training and development activities. This programme is designed to help you gain hands-on experience in the legal field.

What you need

You must have completed Matric and hold a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree or an equivalent legal qualification that allows you to register as a Candidate Attorney with the Legal Practice Council (LPC) of South Africa. You must have achieved an overall average of 60% in your studies. You must also be eligible to enter into articles of clerkship and register as a Candidate Attorney with the LPC.
