What the job is

This is a job for a Technical Facilities Manager at CBRE Excellerate, a leading company in commercial real estate services and investments. The company operates across Africa and the Middle East, offering services like facilities management, project management, and advisory services. The role is based in Johannesburg, Gauteng, and is a permanent position.

What you will do

You will oversee the daily operations and maintenance of building systems such as HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and fire safety systems. You will schedule and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure all equipment operates efficiently and safely. You will lead troubleshooting for technical issues, coordinate inspections and repairs, and monitor Building Management Systems for optimal performance. You will also manage projects, budgets, and teams, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards. Additionally, you will handle emergencies like power outages or equipment failures.

What you need

You need a Diploma in Facilities Management with at least 5 years of experience in office and manufacturing environments. Relevant certifications like CFM, PMP, LEED, or FMP are a plus. You should have hands-on knowledge of building systems, proficiency in Building Management Systems and CMMS software, and strong leadership and communication skills. You must be able to manage multiple projects, solve problems, and work in a fast-paced environment.
