What the job is

Hire Resolve is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join their client’s company in Cape Town, Western Cape. This is a permanent position in the mining and metals industry. You will be responsible for leading engineering and mining equipment projects from start to finish, making sure they are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

What you will do

You will manage engineering and mining equipment projects and lead project teams. You will set up projects during the enquiry and award stages, coordinate teams, and conduct kick-off meetings to define project goals and deliverables. You will obtain client approval for project scope, schedules, pricing, and commercial terms. You will create and manage detailed project schedules, budgets, and work packages. You will also define quality targets, ensure effective communication with clients and teams, and manage project risks. Additionally, you will implement health, safety, and environmental requirements throughout the project and handle change requests and supplier coordination.

What you need

You must have a Grade 12 certificate, a degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronic Engineering, and a Project Management qualification. You should be registered or eligible for registration with ECSA. You need at least 10 years of project management experience, preferably in mining equipment, mineral processing, or engineering. A valid driver’s license is also required.
