What the job is

This is a full-time position for a Management Accountant Manager at SAFAL Group, based in Durban West, KwaZulu-Natal. The role involves overseeing financial reporting and analysis to help the company make informed business decisions. You will work closely with management to provide clear and useful financial insights.

What you will do

You will manage all financial reports, including daily, monthly, and annual performance analyses, as well as board packs and budgets. You will analyze the company’s financial performance, identify areas for improvement, and ensure accurate bookkeeping and compliance with financial standards. You will also supervise a team of management accountants, handle budgeting and forecasting, and support the finance functions for the company’s operations in Mozambique, Namibia, and Zambia. Additionally, you will work on tax computations, audits, and special projects as needed.

What you need

You must be a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with at least 5-7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience with SAP S4 Hana and a strong understanding of accounting standards (IFRS) and tax laws are required. You should have excellent leadership, communication, and teamwork skills, as well as advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. A CIMA qualification is an added advantage.
