What the job is

This is a full-time position for a Business Producer at eMedia Investments, based in Johannesburg North, Gauteng. The role involves creating and delivering business and financial news content for television and digital platforms. You will work closely with reporters, editors, and technical teams to produce accurate and engaging stories for audiences across TV, web, mobile, and social media.

What you will do

You will research, develop, and produce business and financial news stories, ensuring they are clear, accurate, and interesting for viewers. Your tasks include monitoring economic and market trends, coordinating live broadcasts, and adapting content for digital platforms. You will also work with teams to plan news coverage, verify facts, and ensure all content meets ethical and legal standards. Additionally, you will manage studio operations, handle guest coordination, and support live broadcasts during breaking news events.

What you need

You must have a National Senior Certificate (Matric) and an Advanced Diploma in Broadcast, Journalism, or Financial Journalism. A Bachelor’s Degree in these fields is recommended. You need at least 3 years of experience in broadcast journalism or producing. Strong research, storytelling, and editorial judgment skills are required. You should be proficient in Microsoft Office and Dalet software, and have advanced English language skills. A valid driver’s license (Code EB) is essential.
