What the job is

This is a full-time position for a Sales Assistant at PEP Clothing, located at the Chatsworth Centre in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal. PEP is a well-known retail company, and this role is part of their team working to achieve business goals through excellent customer service and efficient store operations.

What you will do

You will work as part of a team to increase sales by providing exceptional customer service and maintaining high store standards. This includes keeping the store clean and well-presented, managing stock, implementing promotions, and ensuring products are priced correctly. You will also help reduce stock losses by following security measures and proper stock and cash handling procedures. Additionally, you will operate the cash register according to company policies, maintain a low-cost business approach, and ensure health, safety, and housekeeping standards are met.

What you need

To qualify, you must have completed Grade 12 (Matric) and be proficient in English. Basic computer skills are required. While not mandatory, having 1-2 years of experience in a retail environment will be an advantage. You should have a passion for retail, demonstrate integrity, and be willing to go the extra mile. Strong organizational skills, the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, and flexibility to work retail hours are essential.
